The term MUFIDS stands for Multi-User Flight Information Display. CWA assisted Arora Engineers with the phasing plan for a system wide upgrade to the existing outdated flight information displays. The new system uses the latest technology and will give the airport more flexibility and control in displaying flight information to the airport and its users. The project, once completed, will make PHL one of the first facilities of its kind to have an integrated visual paging system. The phasing of this project was complex as minimal impact to the passengers and general public was of high priority. CWA designed a plan that allows a gradual upgrade throughout the airport that uses temporary flight information displays to keep the airport operation going while the construction work is completed.
