This project is very similar to the Levering Façade. In this case the primary cause of the water is from failed sealant joints in the massive limestone cornice. Other contributing causes are extensive masonry spalling on the brick parapet, as well as filed window lintels.
The restoration design included masonry repointing, brick replacement, lintel replacement, sealant replacement, and the use of a brick consolidation material to stabilize spalled bricks on the parapets.
