New 28,000 square foot Art Museum adjacent to the Gothic Revival Taylor Hall at the entry to the Vassar Campus. Renovations included 18,000 square feet of Taylor Hall for improved bathrooms, classrooms and office space. Taylor Hall houses the Art History Department of Vassar College. The new museum will allow the College to exhibit its extensive collection of art. Vassar’s collection however is so extensive that only a quarter of it can be shown at any time. The museum is designed with flexible exhibit space for changing exhibits to accommodate a variety of art periods from medieval to modern.
