The renovation of an exiting 1860’s historic train station for continued use as a ticket office and waiting room bringing it up to contemporary standards in terms of life safety and HVAC. The former station master’s house is being converted to retail space. Platform improvements include repaving and handicapped ramps. The parking lots are being repaved and re-striped. Landscape improvements are made.
A consistent sign system is included based on SEPTA’s Standards. The Station Location is marked from surrounding streets. ADA accessible path is noted across the site, station identification and platform location signs are a part of consistent coordinated system. Jim Winkler coordinated the design of this sign system.
