An 11,000 SF specialized library for a private school designed to accommodate current technology and allow for flexible independent study and research. The open building design allowed for maximum supervision and flexibility in use. The circulation ramps in the building were oriented and designed to allow for passive solar gain.
The project included a Master Plan of the entire school campus and athletic fields with the new resource center serving both as the Campus entrance and as the anchor to the existing campus courtyard.
Mimi Winkler was the project architect while at John S. Sabatino and Associates.
