The problem was to design a 185 room budget hotel to enliven a waterfront area that is rapidly becoming a major urban attraction.
The site is wedged between Interstate 95, Delaware Avenue, and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The design stretches the building along the river affording river views to many of the rooms. The facade design has large scale ornamentation to respond to the large buildings and structures in the Hotel’s environs.
