Project consisted of a 2 story addition with a new kitchen at the first floor and guest bedroom at the second floor. A generous kitchen plan provides a small breakfast area with great views to the exterior. The kitchen layout welcomes the outside and spatially connects to the terrace. Material select was very neutral and soft allowing natural light to disperse throughout the addition into the existing home.
A Sensitively scaled rear addition adds modern spaces to a small 1920 colonial. This house is located in Wyndmoor, a traditional neighborhood with a diverse collection of small scaled colonial houses on modest lots. To an modest existing 600 SF footprint the new addition adds modern amenities; a generous kitchen, sunlit breakfast bay and a walled terrace that all share garden views. Upstairs is a spacious new Master Bedroom.
Interior alterations included a downstairs bathroom with dog bath and new doorways to at improve the flow between existing spaces.
